The Organization of the Islamic Conference has asked for a program outline detailing the management of a global Islamic Heritage List, to identify key conservation projects in the Muslim world. This request responds to the routine omission and devaluation of Islamic heritage sites in cultural heritage rosters maintained by major European and American institutions. Minerva Parnters will act as an advisor and facilitator to the Islamic Research Center for Islamic Art, History and Culture in Istanbul (a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference) when this project launches in early 2008.
