An online survey has been employed to capture a broad range of thoughts on the current and future role of the historic preservation field in New York City. By the 15 April deadline for input, more than 350 detailed responses were received from interested citizens, those working directly in historic preservation, and those working in all allied fields (planning, housing, community development, the environment, etc.).
The results of this survey were tabulated and reviewed with care. The patterns and insights that resulted provided a basis of all subsequent discussions related to the Preservation Vision: NYC program. The work and participation of all survey respondents is much appreciated.
